Prostitution almost over for the year.

Hello fellow bloggers and hello blog readers.

You may have noticed that I have not been around much lately.

Busy times...

The social life that Michael and I enjoy is equivalent to the honesty of a politician.  However recently that has not been the case.

Amongst many other things there has been Jess' Birthday party, Jess' weekend long 16th party, our wedding anniversary and taking Jess to the airport to fly to Cape Town to visit her sister (her birthday present). This is the first evening in two weeks that we don't have something on and hopefully can get to bed at a reasonable time.

Around this time of the year I start to (psychologically) feel more tired.  Our long holiday is two weeks away and I have no desire to be at work any more.  Alright, alright! truthfully I am never too eager to be at work.  Don't get me wrong I don't hate my job, as far as jobs go its passable.  I get treated well, the work is not stressful and I don't have a lot of repetition.  Its a job, I need to do it to help pay the bills for now.

I used to work for an insurance company and a colleague used to say, "We are all prostitutes."  I suppose that there is the rare exception but I don't think many people work for an insurance company for any reason other than the money.

I think the corporate ambition gene completely skipped me.  I would hate to be a big manager in a big company.  I would love to be at home writing for a living all day.

Psst while being so busy I have kept up my jogging and did 3km today.  For people who still use miles, I don't know use a converter app.

Jess begged my sister to make her a flying squirrel outfit for her 16th birthday, above pics of the most beautiful flying squirrel in the world. My sister also made Mila's unicorn outfit.

  1. I worked at an insurance company for three days in a temp position. After that brief interlude I must agree. Who would work for an insurance company other than to collect a paycheck? I love the costumes. Your sister has quite a talent.
